160 Old Street, London EC1V 9BP

Great Portland Estates plc, working with architects ORMS, completed 160 Old Street in April 2018, transforming an uninspiring 1970s building into 153,000 sq. ft. of contemporary flexible and collaborative offices arranged over 11 floors with collegiate spaces for communal working and networking.
The building sits at the heart of the Silicon Roundabout business district where creative and digital start-ups stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the largest companies in the world. In December 2017, Great Portland Estates plc pre-let 116,500 sq. ft. to Turner Broadcasting. The UK based operation of Turner, the global entertainment, sports and news subsidiary of Time Warner, will occupy the lower ground to fourth floor of the building.
The building has been reclad with brick and glass and a new, long entrance along Bunhill Row provides an open and welcoming reception. At street level there is 6,676 sq. ft. of restaurant and retail space.

White Collar Factory, 1 Old Street Yard, London EC1Y 8AF

The White Collar Factory, by Derwent London, is an outstanding example of an office building which represents ‘the workplace of the future’.
This award winning redevelopment of a major corner site at Old Street / Silicon Roundabout, is located in the heart of the London’s Tech Belt. White Collar Factory is an urban campus of six buildings at Old Street Yard, which includes offices, studios, incubator space, restaurants and apartments, set around new public realm – Old Street Yard, with a sixteen-storey tower topped by a 150m rooftop running track.
The building includes a variety of tenants including Adobe, Box.com, AKTII, Capital One and The Office Group, just to name a few.
Architects AHMM drew inspiration for the new build tower from the work of French designer Jean Prouvé, whose design ethos was led by logic, balance and purity.

The Whitechapel Building, 10 Whitechapel High St, London E1 8QS

Derwent London and Fletcher Priest have transformed a 1980s office block on Whitechapel High Street into 184,000 sq ft of creative and media offices in under 10 months from purchase to completion. In an on-going commitment to sustainability, granite facades were simply cleaned and fittings re-purposed to reveal the hidden qualities of the existing building. These strategic, budget conscious interventions have created light-filled offices arranged around a public ‘living room’. The offices were let in record time to creative, media and technology organisations including the pioneering Government Digital Service and Unruly.
Inside, a 7,000 sq ft reception offers a vibrant social space with a Grind bar and cafe for occupiers and the public, inviting Whitechapel’s rich cultural activity and atmosphere in from the street. High quality materials such as oak and exposed concrete suggest a relaxed domestic atmosphere alongside a selection of Mid-century modern furniture and textiles.

Please note: Transport will not be provided. Delegates will go to each destination as a group on public transport.
